Vince Zampella, Has Died in a Los Angeles Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, the mind behind the wildly popular franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The renowned game designer lost his life when his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a highway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and all those touched by his work," an official with Electronic Arts said.
