Ex- Doctor Accused of Sexual Assault Charges Involving 38 Patients

Prosecutors report that a ex- physician now faces charges for carrying out sexual assaults against 38 individuals who were patients.

Details of the Grave Allegations

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.

One deputy chief CPS official said, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

Scope of the Police Inquiry

The charges come after what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.

The defendant will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.
